By request, the following dates are the times we've scheduled to game over fall break.

Wednesday the 25th: Hunter: The Vigil game

Saturday the 28th: The Evil game.

And there we go. Chase may still do a session of the Human game, but that is only if time permits, and at the moment, it doesn't. Still, may happen though.

Let's be honest here, who doesn't want to see 9? That shit looks epic. Anyway, I have talked to several of you about seeing this, but I thought I would put something out more definite. It comes out on a Wednesday, and, as that is a fairly inopportune time for most people, being in the middle of the busy week, we are going to shoot for a Saturday show. As always, we will see the around 9 showing, as this that seems to be a time that regularly works for folks as well as being in a less than jam packed theater.

We will probably do food beforehand, depending on peoples wallets/desires. Probably Nachos or Flattop or something of that nature.

Sorry for the lateness in getting this one out ther, I have been quite busy as of late. Anyway, this party has been planned for awhile, but here are specifics

now , I know it says 'Halo' party, but that is just what we have done before. We shall be expanding our horizons and playing other games. Gears of War will definitely be on the table, and maybe Dead Rising. If anyone has suggestions to multi-player games, just throw them out, except brawl. that shit ain't gonna happen.

We will do some form of pizza or other large amount take out food. Drinks will also be available so long as people give me money. Once I have an accurate head count of who all is coming, then I will set the amount people need to have to both eat and drink. Will post further updates. I know some of who are going, but if this is the first you are hearing about this (ahem...dave) then post something here. It is definite now, since it is in writing. One way or another it will happen and Jay will snipe us all (the cheating little fucker). Well, I am off now, back to work.

What's up folks. Haven't posted anything on here in awhile. So, this past week, Seth (my older son) turned 5. So, on Saturday we took him up to Chicago to celebrate. We walked around Millennium Park, watched a free show,, he got to play in a fountain-esque thing and then we ate at Carson's Rib ( a bit overrated, but still good). Always wanted to eat there as it was the basis for one of my favorite episodes of M*A*S*H. So, on Sunday we went to this Waterpark in Yorkville, and yea, never ride 'The Boomerang'. I am not really afraid of heights, and, in fact, I love roller coasters and water rides in general. This one just sucked though. On the upside though, they had a Wave Pool. When I was a teenager there was a water Park near OKC called White Water Bay. They had a wave pool and I loved that effing thing.

So, anyway, onto the dick move. Most of you don't know this, but I can play the guitar. I can't play it very well, but I can still do it. Anyway, when I was learning to play, I used this acoustic guitar my dad owned. Now, most of you know that my dad passed away a few years back. I was never the sentimental type and I don't really have any of his stuff, other than his Marine issued swiss army knife. My Mom was having a harder time and it seemed important to her that she get to keep his stuff. I was, and still am, fine with this, because I know if I ever need anything it is there. So, the need arose, and I was wanting to fiddle with the guitar again. I ask my mom about this and she says my brother has it. Now, when I find this out, I am not mad in the least. My brother is, like my mother, very sentimental, even though he won't admit it. He doesn't play the guitar though, and never used it and has no use for it, and the way I see it, the stuff is 'family property'. So, I call up my brother and tell him that i would like the guitar. He tells me he doesn't have it. I say "What the fuck do you mean you don't have it?"

This is where the dick moves comes in. My brother recently go married again, to a woman who has two teenage children, as if he needs more. Anyway, his new stepdaughter plays the guitar, so he gives it to her. His exact words were "It just sat in my closet and I didn't need it, so I gave it to her." He then tells me I can't have it because it isn't his to give. Well... Fuck that! The was my father's guitar, not some trinket for him to give away on a whim. It would be okay if he let her use it, but to give it away without a thought. That is one of biggest dick moves I have ever heard of. Sometimes, i really wish I could just cut myself off from my extended family. A bunch of selfish fucks. He had no right to give it away to someone none of us know. She's not my family. I will likely never meet this girl, and while I have no knowledge of her I am assuming she is either a hooker now, or will soon grow into one. I can't stand the fact that he actually gave it away. My Dad's guitar. I almost want to drive down there and take. Needless to say, I set him straight and the next time my Mom goes to visit, which is in a few weeks, she is going to get it back. I just can't believe he did that. After all the shit, to so nonchalantly give it away.

Also, welcome back Kristen. I hope your time in Montana was fun. Will be good to see you again, sorry i couldn't be there when you got back. Anyway, it's good to have you back in town.

Also, a End of Summer Halo Party is being planned for August 15th. We will branch out from Halo this time though. Anyway, the date is set as August 15th. More info will be given in the coming days when I feel like making a post dedicated to it.

It's that time again to poll the audience. In recent times, there has been much speculation on what the top comic book movies are. So let's figure this shit out. Here are mine.

Edit: So long as the source material for the movie was either a comic book or graphic novel, you are good. Also, the movie must have come out. Animated movies work to, just so long as they have been released.

I have been procrastinating posting this, trying to work things out. Anyway, here is the plan. I have talked with several people about this, and I think it is time to firm things up. For the 4th of July, I am trying to put together a 'Gaming Day' type thing, as well as a BBQ, as come on, it is the 4th of July. Chase has agreed to run a Mechamorphs game (transformers), Cole will being running a VtR game, and I will be doing something 4E related. Also, Jack has expressed interest in coming and will do something Cthulu-related, I think. Either way, he is going to do something. We will probably make characters for all the games a couple of weeks before it happens. So yea, a cool thing to do, and it should work out to be a good time.

As for the BBQ, the rules are simple, if you want to eat, you have to bring something edible, and it also has to be enough for everyone. If you don't bring food, then you don't eat. If people are coming together, say a couple, then they must bring 2 things, as there are 2 of them. No, 'we' crap. Lastly, I will make a list of things that can/will/should be brought and we can divy(never actually spelled this word before, looks wierd) up who brings what. Also, you don't have to bring food. We will need drinks, napkins, forks, etc. So, if you don't want to cook, there are other things.

As for place, I am against going and sitting a park, as we are at a loss for amenities. The leading notion is that we go to my mother's house in Pontiac. Cole and I went out ther to pick up some shelves I got a while back and we came to the decision that it would be a cool place to do something at. Pontiac isn't that far away, and there are several bonuses. The house has a huge backyard, is on the river (which we can then push Dave into... repeatedly), and fishing can happen for those who like to fish. Also the fireworks show in Pontiac is pretty cool. Anyway, this looks like the frontrunner, as we will have a modicum of privacy as well as the freedom to roam should we choose to do so. Also, no public toilets. WHOO!

Like I said, I have already talked to a few people, and while this is just a preliminary posting, this will happen. If you want to go, post on here. Once I get an estimate of how many people are going to partake then I will make definite plans and we can choose who brings what kind of food.
